Peggy Kurka in Residenz

„Ich wählte den Ort „ÖVELGÖNNE 106“ als Residenz für meine künstlerische Arbeit, da ich ihn als den perfekten Platz empfand, um an meinem nächsten Buchprojekt zu arbeiten – eingebettet in Ruhe und Natur, umgeben von einer überaus herzlichen Atmosphäre.“

Peggy Kurka ist eine international gefragte Haar- und Make-up-Künstlerin sowie Autorin. Aufgewachsen in der DDR, war sie zunächst als Fotomodell erfolgreich. Nach dem Mauerfall lebte sie in London, Paris und schließlich in Hamburg. Im Jahr 2019 war Peggy Kurka Teil der Ausstellung „Black Image Corporation“ im Gropius Bau in Berlin. Ihr rhythmischer, melodischer Schreibstil erinnert an Lieder; er lebt von Passagen, die durch eben diese rhythmische, bisweilen mantraartige Sprache unmittelbar erlebbar werden. „Das Blaue Kind“ ist ihr erstes Buch und erschien im Verlag Bastei Lübbe.
 
Wir freuen uns sehr, dass sie in Övelgönne 106 in ihr neues Projekt eintauchen wird.

THE PERSIAN SALON -
Concert series with seating and reclining options in the project space

On November 7th, the sounds of the Radīf will fill the project space. The Radīf—the core of classical Persian music—is recognized as an intangible UNESCO World Heritage element. Composer and virtuoso Elshan Ghasimi offers a fresh interpretation of this repertoire—mastered through years of deep study and internalization—and revives an ancient tradition with her "Persian Salon."

DIWALI – THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Yoga workshop with Freca

"As the days grow shorter and the light begins to fade, Diwali invites us to reconnect with the inner strength found in hope, clarity, and connection.
I would like to invite you to an evening that weaves together yoga, breathwork, stillness, and inspiration. Through a mindful yoga practice, reflections on the significance of this Indian festival of lights, and the unique atmosphere along the Elbe, we will create a space to pause, recharge, and reconnect with what truly sustains us."
 
Yoga teacher and cultural scholar Freca Dumrese will guide the evening, drawing on over 25 years of teaching experience and a profound connection to the philosophical tradition of yoga. Professionally, she also works as an author and filmmaker in the fields of communication and media. Her own yoga journey began at the age of 16.
 
Participation is based on donations.

Genießen Sie die Musik und das besondere Ambiente. Doch wundern Sie sich nicht, wenn Ihnen einer der Gäste eine komische Geschichte erzählt oder unsere Kellnerin zum fünften Mal das Tablett fallen lässt. Denn im Kaminzimmer unserer idyllisch gelegenen Bar am Strand ereignet sich heute etwas ungewöhnliches. Am besten nehmen Sie Ihre Freunde mit und singen ein paar Lieder beim Karaoke. Und bleiben Sie bei klarem Verstand!
